So my mechanic replaced the 2 sets of bushes and the lower ball joint. We discussed it later and we both think it will be a good idea to replace the rest of the bushes as they are obviously getting to the end of their useful life.
My mechanic decided to give her a real blast on the way to the test to make sure the engine was really hot. Apparently he also reminded the tester that the engine had to be really hot to give the emissions a chance.
Apparently they did get the engine up to really hot, but when they inserted the probe the reading were still slightly out. But as they watched they could see the readings were gradually improving. So they left it for 5 minutes and by then she sailed though the emissions test with sime very respectable readings.
So good for another year 👍
